Supriya Rakesh is a writer, researcher, educator and creative facilitator.
Supriya has a Masters from TISS, Mumbai and a PhD from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
Her work engages with the notion of ‘storied selves’ in multiple ways: research and teaching, poetry and fiction, applied art and interactive theatre. Her writing explores identity, transition and belonging in contemporary urban India, through lives and choices of young adults in a society-in-transition. Her short fiction has been recently published in Kitaab, Setu Bilingual, and Muse India.
Supriya is a Visiting Faculty at Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. In her workshops and courses, she uses story, art and theatre as approaches to facilitate reflection and dialogue. She loves the Mumbai rains, strong cups of cappuccino and stories of unrequited love.
